\u00a0Make Decisions that Get Results!<\/p>\n
Decisions, decisions, decisions…what to do, when, where, why\u00a0and how!\u00a0\u00a0Many of us do not like moving outside our comfort zone. We like to feel safe and secure so we resist making decisions. We don’t want to look foolish or fall flat on our faces.\u00a0 The older we get the more complacent we become.\u00a0 The problem\u00a0with\u00a0complacency is it\u00a0kills our passion.\u00a0 It makes us play ourselves small. It clips our wings and keeps us from soaring to new heights.\u00a0 The decision\u00a0of whether to play it safe and hang on\u00a0to what we know and just survive…or\u00a0take a leap of faith and\u00a0go after our dreams\u00a0and try to soar!<\/p>\n
The five\u00a0fundamental phases in the decision making process are choice, assessment, conviction, determination, and result.\u00a0 So let’s start with Choice<\/strong>\u00a0because it\u00a0is the starting point\u00a0for all our decisions.\u00a0\u00a0Just like Before\u00a0we can make a decision we need to narrow down our\u00a0focus to our main priority.\u00a0 (I invite you to read February’s newsletter if\u00a0you want to\u00a0read\u00a0more about focus.)\u00a0 What will be your\u00a0focus for 2013?\u00a0 Will it be just to continue doing the same things you have always done and play it safe\u00a0or will it\u00a0be to take on new things to attempt to soar?\u00a0\u00a0Choosing your focus will determine where you go!<\/p>\n The\u00a0second\u00a0phase is Assessment<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Assessing our strengths and where\u00a0we need to grow to soar will determine when and where\u00a0we need to focus.<\/p>\n Conviction<\/strong> is the\u00a0third phase.\u00a0\u00a0Having conviction that we can achieve our goal allows us to try new things and push\u00a0ourselves to\u00a0heights we have never been before.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0Determination<\/strong> is the\u00a0fourth phase.\u00a0 If we don’t\u00a0have\u00a0determination we will not be\u00a0be willing to put forth the effort to do the work\u00a0whenever necessary\u00a0to implement, maintain and sustain our goal!<\/p>\n The\u00a0fifth and final\u00a0phase is Result!\u00a0 <\/strong>It is important to know what you want your end result to be…otherwise, how will you know when\u00a0to celebrate your\u00a0success!\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0It’s your decision!\u00a0 How high will you soar?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
